Obituary for Robert M. Homko

Robert M. Homko, 87, residing in the Town of Poughkeepsie, died on December 28, 2018, unexpectedly at home.
Mr. Homko retired from Central Hudson Gas & Electric after a career as a Tax Specialist and Internal Auditor. A CPA, he was a graduate of Manhattan College and New York University.
Bob was a certified Track Official, officiating track and field events in the Dutchess County area. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church in Hyde Park.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline, as well as his three children, Andrew Homko and wife, Margaret, Alyson Homko-Schank and husband, Scott, and Christopher Homko and wife, Rebecca; and three grandchildren, Leah Schank, and James and Matthew Homko.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Thursday, January 3rd at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peter’s Parish, 185 Hudson View Dr. Poughkeepsie.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.
