Obituary for Marguerite Mary Santos

Hyde Park – Marguerite Mary Santos, 92, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 after questionable agency help in her home led to a fall on September 3rd and a lengthy struggle.
Born July 14, 1926 in Hudson, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sylvanus and Mary Leach Losee.
As a result of passion and enormous drive, she sometimes worked three jobs. She had a strong work ethic that helped her exceed her many goals. Her work included a twenty-five-year history in the nursing profession for New York State.
She will be missed as a mother who loved family and caring for others. Marguerite was a good role model with a strong work ethic.
She was married to her devoted husband Carlos, he predeceased her in 2015.
Survivors include her two sons, Warren Johnson of Hyde Park and Wayne Johnson of Sicklerville, NJ; grandson, Warren Johnson III of Hyde Park; granddaughters, Amber Carson and Ashley Guddo, both of New Jersey; and great-grandson, Hunter Guddo, of Sicklerville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Benny, Charles, and Lester Losee.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Marguerite’s family will be donating in her name to the Dutchess County SPCA, 636 Violet Ave., Hyde Park, NY 12538 (; any cancer research fund; or any organization that wishes to stamp out elder abuse at the hands of individuals who do harm working for caregiving agencies.
