CLINTON CORNERS - H. Michael Martin Jr., 50, of Clinton Corners, died at home on Friday, Dec. 26, 2003. He worked for Frontier Telecommunications in Rhinebeck for over 29 years. A longtime local resident, he was a 1972 graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park and a past member of the Red Hook Fire Department. Born in Poughkeepsie on Oct. 24, 1953, he was the son of the late Howard M. Martin Sr. and Rosemary Hutton Martin. His wife, Lynda Hale Martin, survives at home. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his mother, Rosemary Allhusen of Clearwater, Fla.; two sons, Chad Martin of Ballston Lake, N.Y. and Casey Martin of Troy, N.Y.; a daughter, Brianna Martin, at home; two stepdaughters, Kara and Briena Strippoli, both of Hyde Park; a brother, Patrick Martin of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a sister, Colleen Dierze of Rhinebeck; a niece; and many stepbrothers and stepsisters. He was preceded in death by his father in 1992; a brother, Timothy, in 1997; and a sister, Moira, in 1956. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Rhinebeck Reformed Church, Mill Street, Rhinebeck with Pastor Luis Perez officiating.
