Edward J. McDonald, Jr., 40, of Poughkeepsie, died on Monday, June 9, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was a lifelong area resident. He enjoyed photography and was very involved in the livestock area at the Dutchess County Fair for many years. Born on October 1, 1962, he was the son of the late Edward J. McDonald, Sr. and Carol (LaBonte) McDonald. He is survived by his sister, Teresa McDonald of Poughkeepsie; two brothers, Kevin and Joseph McDonald both of Salt Point; two nieces, Victoria and Heather; three nephews, Nicholas, Kevin, and Christopher; his maternal grandmother, Eleanor LaBonte of Poughkeepsie; many aunts and uncles including James McDonald of Dayton, Ohio and several cousins. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 from 4-7 p.m. at Sweets Funeral Home, Inc., Rt. 9, Hyde Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Regina Coeli Church, Rt. 9, Hyde Park, Fr. Michael Palazzo will officiate.
