Obituary for Kelsy Ann Carothers

Kelsy Ann Carothers, 43, a lifelong area resident, died Friday, July 27, 2018, at Ferncliff Nursing Home, Rhinebeck following a long, courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born November 27, 1974 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Frederick A. and Sandra M. Frazier Carothers. Her mother survives in Hyde Park and her father predeceased her.
Kelsy was a graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park and Dutchess Community College.
Ms. Carothers was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Hyde Park.
She worked part-time at Riverside Bank in Poughkeepsie and at several other places through temporary employment agencies.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Tianna Elizabeth Perkins, at home; brother, David L. Carothers, and wife, JoAnn, of Annandale, VA; nephew, Christopher Carothers, of Virginia; aunt, Ruth M. Frazier, of Wappingers Falls; and cousins, Brian M. Frazier, and wife, Tammy, of Hickory, NC, and Cynthia M. Scalzo and husband, John, of Hyde Park.
Along with her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Gary M. Carothers; and uncle, Benjamin H. Frazier Jr.
There are no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Thursday, August 2nd at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peter's Parish, 185 Hudson View Dr., Poughkeepsie.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
