Gene was living in Rochester with his daughter, Susan, at the time of his passing. He was a graduate of both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Wesleyan, a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and a 30 plus year employee of the IBM corporation.

Gene was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 plus years, Dolores, and his brother, Robert Marks, of Boston, MA.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Kastan, of Ontario, NY and her spouse, Mark; son, Thomas Marks, of Parker, CO and his spouse, Linda Goold; and son, James Marks, of Chatham, NY and his spouse, Sharyn Richards.

In his spare time, Gene enjoyed boating and Amateur Radio. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather.
