Obituary for Christopher Michael Guido

Christopher Michael Guido, 37, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home in Hyde Park Born on July 7, 1980 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of Gary and Ellen (Beyer) Guido. He was a graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park. Chris worked at the Anderson Center for Autism in Staatsburg. He enjoyed fishing, and was passionate about music and playing his guitar. Chris was a “family man” and loved spending time with his family, especially his daughters. “Chris, your presence meant so much to so many: Your two girls who were the loves of your life as you were their perfect Dad Your mom who loved you beyond understanding and kept a special bond with you Your dad who taught you how to fish, play guitar, etc. and proudly loved you Your sisters who kidded with you, commiserated with you, shared their childhood and adulthood with you, and loved you to the moon Your grandparents who adored you for who you were Your friends with whom with you made mischief, told secrets, made pacts, and shared aspirations Your extended family, niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins, who hold so many personal memories that made them smile…and cry at the same time. You will be missed in so many ways, on so many levels, for a very long time…until forever.” In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Audrey Anna Guido and Vivian Caprice Guido; sister, LeeAnna Guido, and her fiancé, Eric Curran, of Pleasant Valley; sister, Katherine Guido, and her companion, Austin Pullman, of Hyde Park; maternal grandmother, Florence Beyer, of Hyde Park; niece, Annaliese Pullman; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Christopher was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Frederick Beyer; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Fran Guido; and his uncle, Michael J. Beyer. In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours will be from 4-7pm on Thursday, November 16th at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park. A funeral service will be at 6pm during the calling hours. Fr. Patrick Curley will be officiating.
