Obituary for Barbara D. Boesch

The angels came and took Barbara Dylan Boesch, to Heaven as she was surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 2 at home.
Barbara was born on October 1, 1935, in Jericho, NY. She was the daughter of the late George and Jeanne Dreybus.
Barbara married the love of her life, Roy Boesch in 1958 at the Bellmont Abbey in North Carolina. The couple settled in Poughkeepsie in the early 1960’s, where they raised their three children; Jeanne, William, and Christine.
A devout Catholic, Barbara was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary of St. Peter’s Parish in Hyde Park.
Barbara was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and honored to be known as “Gram” to her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Barbara loved holidays and family gatherings; any chance to spend time with her family was cherished by her.
Barbara was known for her warmth and loving nature. She will live on in the memories of all that knew and loved her.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Roy A. Boesch, mother of Jeanne Buckley of Poughkeepsie, William Boesch and his fiancé, Mary Pironti, of Highland, and Chrissy Gomory and her husband, Kristopher, of Naples, Florida.
She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Lauren and Alex Keegan, and their son, Peyton, Nicole and Michael D’Amico, and their son, Vincenzo, Bryan and Elena Boesch, Eric Boesch, Jesse Gomory, Jason Gomory, Katie Boesch and Emily Boesch.
There are no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peter’s Parish, 185 Hudson View Dr., Poughkeepsie.
Entombment will follow in the Our Lady of the Holy Souls Mausoleum at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara’s family respectfully requests memorial donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142, (www.stjude.org), or the Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation, Inc., 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (www.hvhospice.org).
